Saturday, September 12 - 7:30 AM Bluffs Regional Park
Lone Tree, Colorado
The course will be on wide, crushed gravel paths and, depending on the status of construction in the nearby neighborhood, potentially a little bit of single track. It's a hilly, but very run-able course, a few ups and downs during this 7 mile course! We'll travel "the wrong way" around the standard Bluffs route before splitting off onto the East-West trail for a 2.5-ish mile out-and-back, and then you'll get to fly downhill to the finish! (The 5k Racewalk will also travel the "wrong way" around the standard route, will split from the 7M route to take a short out-and-back on one of the vista point trails, and will finish out fast downhill as well.)
From C-470, take the Yosemite Street exit and head south 1-1/2 miles to Lincoln Avenue. Or from I-25, take the Lincoln Avenue exit and head west 9 tenths of a mile to Yosemite Street. Either way, from the intersection of Yosemite and Lincoln, go south on Yosemite about 200 yards, to Crooked Stick Trail. Turn right and continue south another 400 yards to the Bluffs Regional Park parking area.
See the Google Map for details.
Parking is very limited in the small lot at the trailhead and the trail will be open to recreational users as well, so we encourage you to carpool - there is a shopping center with lots of parking just down the hill that would make for a wonderful meeting place!
